After clearing her throat, the Saint swung her arms broadly and started walking again.

The three left behind watched her small back and could only think, O-okay…

“I’m totally on the meat side! The roast beef at Li’s place is amazing.”

All three nodded in unison.

While listening to their conversation, Li continued sending her little birds ahead.

“All three of you, take the right at that corner. There’s a large chamber a little further on.”

Following Li’s instructions, they moved forward.

Within a few minutes, they entered a wide room—but it was completely empty.

Like the corridors before it, the space was surrounded by stone walls.

It was roughly ten meters square.

On the wall opposite the corridor they had entered from, a door could be seen.

According to the materials Li carried, there was a teleportation device beyond that door.

That would mark the goal, so once everyone had passed through the room, she put up a barrier.

“Let’s take a short break here.”

As she said this, she recalled her shikigami birds.

“Yes, that sounds good.”

The Saint agreed and they decided to rest in the chamber.

Li took a rest set out from her Jewel Dimensional Vault.

It was nothing extravagant—just chairs, a table and tea ware.

“Li Onee-sama, I brought something today!”

Patricia raised her hand and pulled out her own Jewel Dimensional Vault from the pouch at her waist.

“Huh? Patty, where did you get that?”

Alberta asked and Patricia answered casually.

“I asked my father and he had one obtained for me!”

That was only natural.

In fact, Li’s grandmother had already taken over development of the Jewel Dimensional Vault.

Through the royal family, it was being released on a trial basis.

It was still far from general distribution, but nobles could acquire one.

Patricia’s family was a count house responsible for military affairs.

As a high-ranking noble house, they had the connections to obtain such an item.

The Jewel Dimensional Vault had the potential to revolutionize logistics.

Though it did not have the same storage capacity as Li’s, it was still extremely valuable.

“This is it! A specialty from our territory!”

Patricia brought out a fruit pie.

The glossy brown crust gave off a rich buttery aroma.

There was also the faintly sweet and tart scent unique to fruit.

“Whoa! That looks insanely good!”

The Saint exclaimed and Patricia puffed out her chest proudly.

“It really smells wonderful. It looks delicious too.”

Surprisingly fond of food, Alberta closed her eyes to savor the fragrance.

Naturally, Li also thought it would certainly taste wonderful.

“First, I want Li Onee-sama, who always takes care of us, to try it!”

Patricia quickly sliced the pie and placed a piece before Li.

From the cross-section, glossy fruit filling could be seen spilling softly outward.

“Then I’ll partake first, Patty.”

“Please, go ahead.”

Li elegantly cut a bite with fork and knife before bringing it to her mouth.

The warmed fruit melted on her tongue, its sweetness deepening with the heat.

The crisp texture of the pastry added a delightful contrast.

“It’s absolutely delicious!”

Li beamed at Patricia with a radiant smile.

That brightness was beyond compare.
